Hey, I’m Michael.
Photographer. Filmmaker. Professional third wheel.
I'm the guy behind Passion It Pictures & Film.
I'm a small town Ontario guy from Penetanguishene who somehow turned a love for cameras, storytelling, and being around people into a career.
And honestly? I wouldn't want it any other way.
I love weddings because they're not perfect. They're loud, emotional, chaotic, hilarious, sometimes a little bit weird, and completely yours.
You'll probably find me fixing a boutonnière, making your nervous partner laugh, quietly tearing up during the ceremony, or somehow ending up on the dance floor with a camera in my hand.
I'm there for the big stuff, obviously.
But I'm also watching for the little things.
The look your dad gives you when he sees you for the first time.
Your best friend losing it during the speeches.
Grandma absolutely owning the dance floor.
The ridiculous inside joke nobody else understands.
Those are the things you'll want back.
A few things you should probably know about me...
I'm a small-town guy.
Penetanguishene is home, and I love working with couples throughout Simcoe County, Muskoka, and beyond.
I will probably make a joke.
Weddings can be stressful. If I can make you laugh when you need it, I'm doing my job.
I run on caffeine and questionable sleep schedules.
The glamorous life of a small business owner.
I genuinely love this stuff.
I'm not just showing up, taking 800 photos, and heading home. I care about what I'm creating and who I'm creating it for.
I'm here to help, too.
Need help figuring out where everyone is supposed to be? Need someone to calm down the timeline? Forgot something? We'll figure it out.
Yes, I do both photo AND video.
Because sometimes one camera just isn't enough.
At the end of the day...
I don't want you to remember me as “the photographer.”
I want you to remember that I was the guy who made you feel comfortable, kept things moving, made you laugh, and somehow managed to be everywhere when something important happened.
Because your wedding isn't a photoshoot.
It's your life happening.
I'm just lucky enough to be there to capture it.

We used Michael at Passion It Pictures & Film to video our wedding and the video came out beautifully! He took drone footage at the venue and then close up shots with us. It turned out way better than we could have imagined. He did a trailer and then a longer highlight video reel and we are in love with them both! He was super easy and friendly to work with and the price was very reasonable. He did such great a great job, he got great shots, & I love that we can watch the videos over and over again! Would highly recommend Michael as this is something we will cherish forever!

Michael did an amazing job with our wedding video, it literally looked like a movie!! He was so easy to work with and you can tell he cares about what he does. If I have any advice for anyone it would be to splurge and get a wedding video, you will not regret it at all and it’s something you’ll have for the rest of your life. Nothing can replace this video, Michael absolutely killed it!!
